Main opposition People Power Party (PPP) leader Jang Dong-hyeok called for an "immediate halt to vote counting" in the Seoul mayoral race, labeling ballot shortages in some capital polling stations "a grave situation that cannot be overlooked."
In an emergency press conference on Wednesday, Jang also called for a re-vote in Seoul and accused the National Election Commission of knowing about the risk in advance and failing to prepare.
