SA Rugby should be ready to do everything within its power to bring Jacques Nienaber back home should his future at Leinster come into question over the next few years.
The former Springbok coach has once again found himself in the spotlight following an explosive interview ahead of Leinster’s United Rugby Championship (UIRC) semi-final against the Stormers on Saturday. Nienaber took aim at sections of the Irish media and supporters who again made him a convenient scapegoat whenever Leinster fall short in major competitions.
Looking at what he has achieved, and given that he helped Leinster win their first URC title, it is easy to understand where his frustration comes from and why he voiced it.
