Three persons, including a coaching institute director, have been arrested in connection with a violent clash outside the prominent Khan Global Studies Institute in Patna’s Kadamkuan area on Tuesday night.Security personnel deployed outside institute run by educator Khan Sir following an attack on the premises, in Patna on Wednesday (ANI )Police identified the three suspects as Roshan Anand, director of a coaching institute, Prince Gaurav, and Abhishek. They were produced before a local court and remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday.The attack by a group of men took place outside Khan Global Studies, a popular coaching institute run by Faisal Khan, a celebrity educator known to millions of students as ‘Khan Sir’ for his low-cost exam preparation courses.The exact nature of the attack remains under investigation.“We were inside while teachers were taking classes. The guard said he could not understand what was happening,” Khan said.He said that the attackers vandalised his property, attacked the security guard and fired 8-10 rounds.“Businessmen entering this field in the guise of teachers are bound to be affected when we deliver results at such a low cost,” he told reporters.Police insist that no gunshots were fired and attribute the security guard’s injury to brick-batting.Patna senior superintendent of police (SSP) K Sharma said, “It was a case of physical assault in which a guard was injured. He is currently undergoing treatment. Further action is being taken after recording statements from the victim and local residents.”Patna City SP Diksha said that CCTV footage was being scanned. “It appears rivalry among coaching institutes triggered the clash. So far, 10 to 12 suspects have been identified,” she said.A large number of angry students gathered outside the coaching centre and raised slogans demanding justice and security following the attack.Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha of Bihar’s ruling Janata Dal (United) promised swift justice. “The criminals will be caught. Strict action will be taken under the chief minister Samrat Choudhary-led NDA government,” Jha said.
