Stepping into the Lalit Kala Akademi feels like crossing a threshold into another world. Within its walls, visitors can wander through the vast deserts of Africa, encounter wildlife frozen in moments of anticipation, stroll through the streets of Egypt, and witness the vibrant colours of Indian festivals, all without leaving Chennai.The visual journey unfolds through Confluence 2026, the annual photography exhibition organised by the Photographic Society of Madras (PSM). Running until June 8 at the Lalit Kala Akademi, the exhibition showcases 191 photographs by more than 60 photographers, selected from submissions by the society’s members.
