June 3 (UPI) -- Jo Adell triggered flashbacks of Jose Canseco's infamous blunder from 1993, allowing a baseball to hit off his head for a home run in a Los Angeles Angels loss to the Colorado Rockies.

The glove gaffe occurred in the top of the fourth inning of the 8-2 setback Tuesday in Anaheim, Calif. Rockies designated hitter T.J. Rumfield received credit for the 364-foot solo shot.

"It hit off my hat," Adell told reporters, according to MLB.com. "I don't know if I overran it and took a step over. But it was kind of the icing on the cake because I was [bad] all the way around the whole day..."

The Rockies scored three runs in the second inning and added four more in the fourth before Rumfield walked to the plate. The Rockies slugger hit the first pitch he saw from Angels starter Grayson Rodriguez deep to right field.
