Evgeni Simeonov has been appointed as the new special commercial manager of Lukoil Bulgaria, replacing Rumen Spetsov, following a decision announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investments and Industry Alexander Pulev.
The announcement was made during a briefing at the Council of Ministers, where Pulev confirmed that the proposal had been approved unanimously by the Security Council and later endorsed by the government.
Simeonov currently heads the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Supervision and has spent more than a decade working within the Ministry of Economy. He began his career in 2016 as a junior specialist and later advanced through various senior roles, eventually leading the agency responsible for overseeing fuel stations and oil depots.
According to Pulev, the decision to replace Spetsov was based on multiple considerations. He described Simeonov as a professional with the necessary expertise, experience, and integrity to ensure “effective, transparent and lawful control” over companies in the Lukoil group.
