The judicial investigation into the death of Isak Andic, founder of fashion giant Mango, has taken a new turn. According to a report in the newspaper 'El País', the judge in Martorell handling the case has widened the inquiry to determine whether any third parties were involved in what happened, and not only the businessman’s son, Jonathan Andic, who remains the chief suspect in an alleged homicide.

According to a court order made public on Wednesday, the judge believes it is necessary to clarify the possible role of other people in Jonathan Andic’s circle, among them a family therapist identified as J.L., who, according to the investigation, may have taken part in or influenced the businessman’s son’s plans to secure an inheritance while his father was still alive.

The judge has also authorised new measures to analyse phone calls and messages linked to Jonathan Andic, particularly during a trip to Quito (Ecuador) in March 2025. Investigators want to establish whether there were any significant contacts that could help reconstruct the events before and after the Mango founder’s death.
