Actor Bonko Khoza has been nominated for Male Movie Star of the Year at the Africa Choice Awards 2026
The seventh edition of the Africa Choice Awards (ACA) has officially unveiled its 2026 nominees, with a strong South African contingent earning recognition alongside some of Africa's most influential creatives, entertainers, entrepreneurs, and digital stars.
In a significant milestone for the pan-African awards platform, the Africa Choice Awards will be hosted in South Africa for the first time. The nominees were announced during an exclusive media briefing at Bryanston Rockets in Johannesburg, held in the spirit of Africa Day.
The awards celebrate excellence across television, radio, podcasting, music, film, fashion, beauty, photography, digital content creation, entrepreneurship and emerging creative industries from across the continent.
Speaking at the launch, Puni Modiboa, Managing Director of Mmina Tshipi Integrated Marketing Communication, described the awards as more than just a recognition platform.
