The PGA Tour heads to Ohio for the Memorial Tournament hosted by Jack Nicklaus. The 2026 Memorial Tournament is the seventh of the eight signature events on the PGA Tour schedule and the last that will feature a cut after the first two days.Scottie Scheffler is trying to notch his third straight victory at Muirfield Village Golf Club while also finally bagging his second win of the 2026 PGA Tour season. Scheffler has struggled a bit on approach at points this year compared to his usual form, and at other times, the putter has let him down.Joining Scheffler in the field is Rory McIlroy, who is making his first start at the Memorial Tournament since 2024. McIlroy has never finished higher than fourth at the Memorial Tournament, but he will be motivated to get his game in order before the U.S. Open in two weeks. McIlroy has five top-10 finishes at Muirfield Village, but has never truly figured out this course.Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick and Ludvig Åberg are all in the field this week to add to the star power at the top.Muirfield Village has proven to be a tough test for any professional golfer over the years. The list of names who have won at Muirfield Village is a who’s who of champions on the PGA Tour, with the players who are best from tee to green having the best shot at winning. The long rough has been allowed to grow to over 4 inches and will test the players around the greens. The greens will run at just over 13 on the Stimpmeter, which means players will not want to leave their chips above the hole.My model this week will concentrate on strokes gained tee to green, bogey avoidance, strokes gained around the green, strokes gained 250-275 yards and one-putt percentage. Some other golf courses that you should add to your golfer profile are TPC River Highlands, TPC Sawgrass and Riviera Country Club. Muirfield Village is a big-boy golf course that seems to favor faders off the tee and players who can take advantage of the Par 5s.Course information
