It is not easy to find a good, habitable home in India these days. Taking to the subreddit Chennai City, one frustrated Reddit user revealed how difficult it was to find a good home in metropolitan cities. A few years ago landlords had rejected him as he was a bachelor. However, the situation didn’t improve even when he got married. He revealed some landlords turned him and his partner away as they did not have kids. Another landlord refused them as they were living without their parents. Recently, they were turned down for another bizarre reason. The landlord had school-aged kids and wanted tenants with children who were similar-aged so that they could share homework and school-books. Redditors ReactWhile some netizens sympathized with their predicament, some saw it positive that they were refused by such problematic people. Another commented: “Haha, I have a scenario that one ups yours.I have 2 cars. So i search for big apartments so that i can rent another parking for the 2nd car. Potential house owners tend to over quote if they knew about the car situation beforehand. How did they know? - I was naive to inquire if their apartment has additional parking spaces for rent.”
