Released on June 1, the latest rankings highlight Duy Tan University as the highest-placed Vietnamese institution. Duy Tan climbed 33 spots to rank within the top 4.4% of universities globally.

The strongest leap came from Hanoi Medical University, which surged 44 places to land at 1,835th worldwide. Ton Duc Thang University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology also made positive strides, moving up by nine and 19 places, respectively.

However, the country's two national university systems experienced a downturn. Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City fell steeply by more than 90 places to 1,367th, while Vietnam National University, Hanoi saw a minor drop of three places to 1,219th.

At the pinnacle of the list, the global top five remained unchanged from the previous year. Leading institutions from the United States and the United Kingdom continue to dominate, with Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford taking the highest honors.
