Dr. Chloe Anderson-Wheatley. Falklands’ Corporate Records and National Archives Manager obtained her doctorate from the University of Dundee
The Falkland Islands’ Jane Cameron National Archives are proud to announce that following five years of study and research, Corporate Records and National Archives Manager, Chloe Anderson-Wheatley has completed her doctorate with the University of Dundee, in Archives & Records Management.
Her thesis has been passed by her examiners and its full title is: “An Archival study into the Evolution of British Colonial Identities: A Case Study of the National identity of the Falkland Islands 1840-2000”.
Dr Anderson-Wheatley said the thesis itself engages with, “debates and discussions on archival studies, nationalism, Britishness, imperialism, and BOTs, to study how the structures and records of the National Archives of the Falkland Islands constructs, carries and projects the evolving national Identity of the Islands”.
