Pre-monsoon rainfall lashed Mumbai’s western suburbs on Wednesday (June 3, 2026), providing a brief relief from intense heat.Indian meteorological department sounded yellow alert a day ago, forecasting that the region is likely to witness thunderstorms, gusty winds and moderate rainfall. Borivali, Santacruz, Versova, Andheri, Dahisar, Bandra, and Khar areas received the spells.On Tuesday (June 2, 2026) maximum temperatures at Santacruz and Colaba observatories recorded over 36°C. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 34°C and 27°C respectively on Wednesday (June 3, 2026).The pre-monsoon rainfall will stay in the Konkan region until June 6, as per the IMD. The southwest monsoon winds likely to arrive in Kerala on Thursday (June 4, 2026), the temperature will be warm in Palghar, Thane, and Raigad, with light showers in Mumbai.
