Actor Owain Rhys Davies has died at the age of 44.

The Cardiff-born performer was known for his work in television and film, including a role as Agent Wilson in the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks. He also appeared in Netflix series The OA, the film Alice Through The Looking Glass and horror comedy A Serial Killer’s Guide To Life.

His death was announced by his brother, Rhodri, who said Davies had died “suddenly, naturally, and peacefully”.

In a message shared on Instagram, Rhodri said he was “incredibly proud” of his brother and acknowledged the impact his death would have on those who knew him.

“We know that this loss will be felt by a great many people, and we take comfort in knowing how loved he was,” he said.
