A small fire at Prime Minister Christopher Luxon’s Auckland office triggered an emergency services response on Wednesday morning.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said they were called to the scene at 9.53am to reports of a small fire on the deck but it was presumed out on arrival.
Firefighters ensured it was dampened down before leaving the scene.
A staff member from a nearby bakehouse said there were around four or five police cars at the scene, and Fire and Emergency NZ were present around an hour prior.
