Nabatieh, Lebanon (EFE).- Israel launched on Tuesday several attacks against the Lebanese city of Nabatieh and nearby towns as Israeli troops advance across the Litani River.
The artillery fire and bombings in nearby areas can clearly be heard from Nabatieh, one of the most important cities in southern Lebanon.
EFE was able to confirm that have escalated significantly since last week.
Israeli troops have already reached the village of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, about eight kilometers (four miles) south of Nabatieh.
On Sunday, they reached Beaufort Castle, also located on the Litani River, the natural border where the announced «buffer zone» ended.
