A 21-year-old Diego Martin woman was rescued by police on Monday night after she was allegedly abducted by a man with whom she had a romantic relationship and taken along the North Coast Road.The suspect, a 22-year-old labourer of Caura Road, El Dorado, was arrested.According to police reports, around 8.15 p.m. a Traffic Warden from Diego Martin contacted the Maracas Bay Police Station and reported that the victim, a food vendor of Diego Martin, had been forcibly taken from her home about an hour earlier.Police said the informant reported that the suspect arrived at the woman's home around 7.05 p.m. and argued with her.During the confrontation, he forced her into a blue Toyota Axio and drove away.The informant told officers she was able to track the vehicle through a GPS system, which showed it travelling north along the North Coast Road in the vicinity of Maracas Bay.A response was launched by officers from the Maracas Bay and Blanchisseuse police stations.While searching the North Coast Road, officers located the vehicle parked about one mile north of St Michael's Village, Las Cuevas.Police said the suspect was standing outside the driver's side of the vehicle when officers approached.Bynoe was seated in the front passenger seat. Investigators reported that she appeared to have injuries to both knees and what appeared to be blood on them.Upon seeing the officers, the victim exited the vehicle and ran towards them screaming, "Please! Please! Please!"She was secured by officers, while the man was arrested.Both parties were taken to the Maracas Bay Police Station before being handed over to officers of the West End Criminal Investigations Department.
