The former minister is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside his daughter, Fatima Hadi Sirika, and son-in-law, Hamma Jalal Sule.

A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, on Tuesday, deferred ruling on an application seeking to discontinue the alleged N2.8 billion contract fraud trial involving former Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, until the day judgment will be delivered in the case.

The trial judge, Justice S.C. Oriji, held that the issues raised in the application were closely linked to the substantive charges before the court and should therefore be determined alongside the final judgment.

The former minister is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside his daughter, Fatima Hadi Sirika, and son-in-law, Hamma Jalal Sule.

They are facing an amended six-count charge bordering on alleged contract fraud involving Al Buraq Global Investment Limited.
