The soap ended before Cindy could give her answer but fans have noticed a small detail in the show that gives her answer away, as well as the real reason for her romance with Max, despite previously blaming him for the death of her son.‌The two started dating earlier this year and in a shock move, Max decided to propose to Cindy at Vicki Fowler's wedding. Vicki and Max's daughter Lauren seemed horrified by the proposal, which came right after The Kinks' You Really Got Me could be heard playing in the background.‌‌Based on the song choice, fans suggested that Cindy will say yes to Max and be his bride in the flashforward - but that her reason is much darker than she's letting on.One fan noticed the song choice and said: "Max is just awful and keeps on being the same tired trope. I did giggle when You Really Got Me started playing in the background before the proposal - if the producers are going for subtle as a sledgehammer foreshadowing of the flashforward then that adds fuel to Cindy being both the bride and playing Max."They also pointed out that Max had a touching conversation with ex-flame Linda beforehand as well and added: "Clearly they still want us to think it might be Linda as the alternative though.‌"Proposing at someone else's wedding is pathetic (loved Vicki and Lauren's reactions!), but Avani filming it all at least made me laugh."Another agreed: "I noticed that about the song choice before the proposal too!
