The National Democratic Party (NDP) officially unveiled Ada Fredrick Okwori as its female presidential candidate for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

Her emergence was announced by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Emeka Wachuku, during a press conference in Abuja.

She secured the party’s ticket through a consensus affirmation process across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Described as a young grassroots politician, she previously founded the “Ward2Ward” support group before establishing the NDP. She hails from Adoka in Benue State.

The NDP operates under a lantern symbol, which represents illumination, truth, and a renewed political awakening.
