Kaleb Cooper has revealed the true reason why he didn't rush to the hospital when his fiancée, Taya, was in labour last summer as they prepared to welcome their third childDaniel Bird Assistant Celebrity and Entertainment Editor19:00, 02 Jun 2026Kaleb Cooper has explained why he wasn't in a rush to get to the hospital when his fiancée was pregnant. Last summer, the 27-year-old Clarkson's Farm star and his fiancée, Taya, welcomed their third child together. However, Kaleb wasn't in a rush to get to the hospital to be with Taya. Instead, he was busy on the farm. During an appearance on ITV's This Morning earlier today, he spoke to hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, live from Diddly Squat, and had the two anchors in fits of laughter when he explained what went down. Kaleb explained: "Taya called me up. I think I was about halfway through the field and Taya called me up to tell me she'd gone into labour. And I said, 'Do you want me to come now?' She said, 'Oh no, but come shortly,' and I said, 'Well, I'll finish this field, and then I'll be there."‌‌He went on to add: "And, of course, I did. I finished the field, got home, had a shower, had some dinner, had a great time, then went into the maternity centre and had the baby and back home within an hour and a half!" Through laughter, Ben asked: "Wait, did you have a shower and dinner as well before you went to see her?" "Yeah," replied Kaleb. Last year, the farmer shared a snap of his newborn son, wrapped in a blanket and a blue cap, on social media as he announced the arrival of the new addition to his family. He wrote: "Baby number 3. Everyone, meet Ashton, weighing 6.13lb, born 14th August at 6:28pm at Chipping Norton Maternity. Ps, don't worry, I bought the amazing midwife's a Chinese as well." The news of Ashton's arrival was first announced by Jeremy Clarkson in his column for The Sun. At the time, the broadcaster turned farmer penned: "The boy wonder Kaleb Cooper, who manages my farm, received word this week that his fiancée was in labour.‌‌"'Right,' he said. 'I'll be there when I've finished harvesting this field, how farmerish is that?!?! Happily, he finished in time to welcome what for him is baby number three, and then our thoughts turned to a name." Jeremy went on to joke that one of their friends suggested naming his child after the field he was harvesting. But this didn't happen, as the field was called Deadman.Kaleb and his partner, Taya, announced that they were expecting another baby in February last year. At the time, the couple shared a photo of a baby scan. It was placed over a onesie with "born in 2025" written on the front. The post suggested the due date was August and expressed excitement. Kaleb and Taya wrote: "Very excited to announce that baby Cooper number 3 is cooking... Going to be a very, very busy August." Elsewhere during his This Morning appearance, Kaleb offered an insight into his personal life.Article continues belowHe said: "Life is busy, it's quite busy. I'm probably going to get castrated this year. I don't want any more babies! I've got three kids, and they're all amazing kids, but life is very busy. I'm going to stop at three and hopefully enjoy fatherhood with the three kids."Like this story?
