Ukrainian missile producers are now among Russia’s top targets for future strikes, President Volodymyr Zelensky warned Tuesday, pledging a response. Zelensky reported that he received a briefing from the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Oleh Ivashchenko, on Russian missile production. The report detailed production facilities, ranges, quantities and supply routes for critical components and machine tools, as well as individuals and companies in other countries that help Russia bypass sanctions, Zelensky said.“We are preparing updates to our countermeasures – Ukrainian measures and those coordinated with partners,” he said. “It is important that pressure on Russia increases.”He also said military intelligence has obtained new internal Russian documents on political planning which concern Ukraine’s relations with Moldova, the countries of the South Caucasus, the Middle East and the Gulf region.One of Russia’s key political tasks, he said, is to restrict Ukraine’s security, economic and other strategic ties with these states. According to him, this only confirms that Ukraine and its partners are moving in the right direction towards greater security and further strengthening of sovereignty.
