June 2 (UPI) -- A Missouri man said a Powerball ticket he bought in February spent months forgotten in his truck before he learned it was a $50,000 winner.
The West Plains man told Missouri Lottery officials he had a stack of lottery tickets in the console of his pickup truck.
"I purchased tickets in February, and I hadn't checked them," he said. "It was just one of those times where I felt, 'Well, I probably need to get them out of the console of my pickup.'"
The man visited a local gas station to fill up on fuel, and decided to finally take his tickets inside to scan them.
