Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha blasted ABC’s The View co-hosts as subscribing to a “blue no matter who” mentality.Concha’s comments come in response to co-host Sunny Hostin’s comments defending Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner.Hostin, speaking during the View’s “Hot Topics” segment on Monday, leveled a series of accusations against Platner, saying, “he’s a cheater, he’s an antisemite. The fact that he had that tattoo for 20 years and didn’t know what it was is a lie. So, he’s a liar, a racist, and antisemite.”
While she did criticize him, she also emphasized the stakes of the race, arguing that Democrats need him to win to “bring back a bit of our democracy.”
“I do think one of the only ways is to win that seat in Maine,” Hostin said Monday.
Concha argued that her remarks highlight what he sees as partisan inconsistency in how Democrats evaluate controversial figures and criticized what he described as selective outrage and partisan loyalty.
“Blue, no matter who, if you’re Sunny Hostin, apparently, or Liz Warren or Bernie Sanders, for that matter, who still support Graham Platner as well,” Concha said.
