New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani signed an executive order Monday to repeal children’s bedtimes for the New York Knicks run through the NBA finals.
In the video posted on X, Mamdani, surrounded by screaming and gleeful children, announced, “Here is our mayor’s order, repealing kids’ bedtimes.”
“Today, I signed an Executive Order temporarily repealing bedtimes in the City of New York so that kids of all ages can watch our team in the NBA Finals. As Mayor, you’re forced to make many difficult decisions. This was not one of them. Go Knicks,” Mamdani wrote on X.
He joked, “Who here was alive in 1999?”
