Derick Hall has 10 sacks and 38 quarterback hits in three seasons with the Seahawks. The deal is worth $42 million and carries $21 million guaranteed.The new contract locks in Hall, who was going into the final year of his rookie contract, through the 2029 season.The Seahawks selected Hall in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Hall played in all 17 games as a rookie but was mostly used as a role player, playing just 26 percent of the snaps on defense while playing 62 percent of the snaps on special teams.Hall’s role grew in 2024, starting 14 games for Seattle. He had 8 sacks and 20 quarterback hits, along with two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. With the team signing DeMarcus Lawrence in free agency last year, Hall’s role took a bit of a step back in 2025. He started just three games last season and his defensive snap percentage went from 60 percent in 2024 to 46 percent in 2025.However, Hall made his presence felt in the Super Bowl LX. He had two sacks and a forced fumble as the Seahawks’ defense dominated the Patriots in a 29-13 win. The Seahawks lost Boye Mafe in free agency this offseason, and Lawrence turned 34 and is entering the second year of a three-year contract.
