Brandishing a box of Yorkshire Tea, she declared: "If you love tea and you've not tried putting your tea bag in your porridge, you really must try it." With a whole world of flavoured teas available, Carla confessed her weakness for Yorkshire Tea's caramelised biscuit tea bags for the unusual hack in particular.Content cannot be displayed without consent"These are my ultimate favourite, but you can use any tea bag," she explained.Carla went on to detail the straightforward recipe, which simply involves adding porridge oats to your bowl, the tea bag, sweetener and water "to allow the tea bag to brew."She continued: "You then just microwave this for two to three minutes and the tea will kind of exude itself into your porridge."After heating, Carla topped hers with a handful of chopped strawberries and whey powder for an extra protein boost - making sure it's plain so there's no risk of "overpowering" the tea flavour - followed by soya crispies and pistachios."Obviously the gross bit is removing the tea bag," she confessed. Carla added: "I really recommend this though - it's like a way of getting a double-dose of caffeine in the morning. I'm imagining coffee lovers could do the same thing with coffee in their porridge, but think of all the possibilities here."She concluded with suggestions for Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea porridge. "Has anyone tried peppermint tea porridge?" Carla pondered. "Would that work? Is that a different vibe?
