Officials of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and the Cyberabad Police conducting a joint inspection of key waterlogging and flood-prone locations across the city on Tuesday.
Ahead of the onset of monsoon, officials of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and the Cyberabad Police conducted a joint inspection of key waterlogging and flood-prone locations across the city to assess preparedness measures and review ongoing mitigation works.The inspection was led by CMC Commissioner G. Srijana along with the Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh on Tuesday.The team visited several vulnerable locations, including Malkam Cheruvu, the State Election Commission building near Khajaguda lake, Hyderabad Central University (HCU), and the area near the Harsha Toyota showroom in Kondapur, all of which have experienced water stagnation during periods of heavy rainfall in the past.Officials reviewed the progress of drainage improvement works, desilting operations, flood mitigation measures, and site-specific interventions aimed at preventing waterlogging and ensuring public safety during the rainy season. During the review, the CMC Commissioner directed officials to expedite all pre-monsoon works and strengthen coordination among departments. Officials were instructed to closely monitor vulnerable locations and take preventive measures to minimise disruptions caused by heavy rainfall.The Cyberabad Police Commissioner assured full support in traffic management, emergency response, and public safety measures during the monsoon season.
