The QScale project, led by VTT with Tampere University and Aalto University, has received funding from Business Finland to develop technologies aimed at improving the energy efficiency and scalability of quantum computers.
Researchers will combine optical control, optical telecommunications technologies, and superconducting signal-generation systems to support large-scale quantum computing architectures.
The three-year project will begin in September 2026 with a total budget of approximately €6.9 million, including €5.5 million from Business Finland.
