Following Elon Musk's space company SpaceX, OpenAI rival Anthropic is now also heading towards a public listing. The AI start-up has confidentially submitted its IPO filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Only a few days ago, Anthropic overtook OpenAI for the first time as the world's most valuable AI start-up. According to its latest funding round, the company behind the Claude chatbot is now valued at no less than USD 965 billion.
The valuation has surged dramatically over the past year. In February 2026, Anthropic was already valued at USD 380 billion, compared with «just» USD 61,5 billion in March 2025.
