Anthropic overtook OpenAI’s valuation with a $65bn Series H late last month.
Anthropic has kicked things off on a historic initial public offering (IPO) set to take the company’s valuation soaring above $1trn.
The company said that it confidentially submitted an IPO proposal with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) yesterday (1 June).
“This gives us the option to go public after the SEC completes its review,” it said. The number of shares up for offering and their price have not yet been set.
