Kieran Foran has officially been appointed head coach of the Manly Sea Eagles on a three-year deal.

The Northern Beaches club have confirmed Foran will remain in the top job until the end of 2029, having taken over following Anthony Seibold’s sacking after three matches at the start of the season.

The new deal is a major vote of confidence in the 2011 premiership winner, who has breathed new life into the club since taking the reins. After three straight defeats to start the year under Seibold, Manly have won seven of nine games under Foran.

Manly owner and chairman Scott Penn returned from the US last weekend and was eager to lock down Foran before returning to New York after Thursday night’s game at home against South Sydney.

Manly have received an extra boost on the field, with Origin flyer Tolu Koula receiving the green light from an independent doctor to return from a concussion he suffered just eight days ago playing for NSW against Queensland.
