A gang of three armed men barged into a jewellery shop at T. Begur village in Nelamangala, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, attacked the staff and took some jewels.According to police, three men wearing helmets arrived on a motorcycle and barged into Mahalakshmi Jewellers and Bankers, owned by Tej Pal. The accused allegedly threatened the staff with a knife and looted around 30 grams of gold ornaments worth approximately ₹5 lakh before fleeing the scene.One of the employee, Sunil, attempted to resist the attackers. The accused allegedly assaulted him with a knife, causing injuries.Following the incident, personnel from the Nelamangala Rural Police Station visited the shop for an inspection. A case has been registered. Police examined CCTV camera footage from the area as part of the investigation.The incident has raised concerns among local residents and businesspersons about the safety of commercial establishments in the region, particularly as the robbery occurred in broad daylight.
