The Lagos State Government has added 19,525 square metres of office space to its public infrastructure portfolio as part of efforts to reduce dependence on rented facilities and improve working conditions for civil servants.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works, Adekunle Olayinka, disclosed this during the 2026 ministerial press briefing marking the third year of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s second term in office.

Olayinka said the additional office capacity was delivered through the completion of major government buildings, including the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex and the Revenue House within the Alausa Secretariat precinct in Ikeja.

The projects, he said, formed part of a broader strategy to strengthen public institutions, improve service delivery and preserve the value of government-owned infrastructure assets.

“The administration has continued to prioritise infrastructure renewal and maintenance in line with the THEMES+ Agenda and the Lagos State Development Plan 2052,” Olayinka said.
