Nationwide GP practice business The Doctors is set to be sold in a $270 million deal and will remain New Zealand-owned.
Its current owner, Green Cross Health, said it entered into a conditional agreement to sell its medical division to Tend Health, subject to certain adjustments, including for net debt and net working capital.
Tend Health is a primary care provider, backed by a number of iwi and New Zealand investors, and was founded by Cecilia Robinson, best known for launching My Food Bag.
Robinson is the co-chief executive of Tend Health.
