A Toronto community advocate is heading to Thunder Bay to provide northern Ontario police services with insights about how to spot key vulnerabilities faced by Black youth who could be victims of exploitation.
Shana McCalla will be one of the key speakers at training sessions facilitated by York Regional Police Service. The workshops, running from Monday to Thursday, will also feature York police-led specialized training and a string of external experts including those in the area of domestic violence.
