Tasnim News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reported that the Islamic Republic will halt the process of talks and message exchanges with the United States through mediators in response to ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon and what has been termed a "ceasefire violation on all fronts."
Tasnim further wrote that Iran and its allied groups within the "Resistance Front" are evaluating measures, including the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the activation of other fronts, such as the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. The report states that these measures have been placed on the agenda in response to the attacks by Israel and its supporters.
According to the report, Iranian officials believe that Lebanon was one of the primary prerequisites for the ceasefire between Iran and the US, and that ongoing Israeli attacks against Lebanon amount to a ceasefire violation on all fronts. Citing its sources, Tasnim wrote that the Iranian negotiating team is halting "talks and the exchange of texts via mediators" in protest of this situation.
The report adds that an immediate cessation of Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the complete withdrawal of its forces from occupied areas in Lebanon, are among the demands emphasized by Islamic Republic officials and negotiators, and that no negotiations will take place until these demands are met.
