MANILA, Philippines— The Senate failed to resume its session Monday as the 13-man majority bloc stood up the minority senators, who walked out of the plenary last week.

Only 11 senators – Senate Minority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Sens. Juan Miguel Zubiri, Kiko Pangilinan, Panfilo Lacson, JV Ejercito, Sherwin Gatchalian, Risa Hontiveros, Bam Aquino, Lito Lapid, and siblings Raffy and Erwin Tulfo – were present in the plenary ahead of the 5 p.m. scheduled resumption of session.
