French President Emmanuel Macron wrote on his X account that he spoke with Donald Trump last night regarding the situation in the Middle East.

In his message, Macron stated that he commended Trump’s “resolute efforts” to swiftly reach an agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic. He described the potential accord as a “unique opportunity” to establish a new security framework with the participation of all relevant parties—a framework that, according to him, could lead to “lasting regional stability.”

The French president also wrote that Paris stands ready to “fully” support these efforts and play its complete role in their implementation. He added that this is precisely the objective of the international mission designed by France, alongside the United Kingdom and its partners; a mission that, according to Macron, is prepared to deploy as soon as the agreement is finalized to help ensure the security of maritime transit in the Strait of Hormuz.

Furthermore, Macron emphasized that France is ready to offer its expertise and capabilities to the parties during the broader negotiations that must commence, particularly regarding the nuclear component of the potential agreement.
