Principal District and Sessions Judge Basavaraj on Monday inaugurated air-conditioned hall of 3rd Additional District and Sessions Court.

All 28 halls of the courts in the District Court complex in Mangaluru will be airconditioned, said Principal District and Sessions Judge Basavaraj on Monday here.He was speaking after launching ACs in five court halls of the district court complex, including the 3rd Additional District and Sessions Court hall and the Principal Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate court hall..Addressing the advocates, Mr. Basavaraj said ₹2 crore has been spent to install split ACs in the court halls. “ACs were needed for court halls at the district court complex. The judicial officers and advocates can work better under ACs,” he said.President of Mangaluru Bar Association H.V. Raghavendra said ACs have been installed in court halls in Moodbidri and Puttur. The association had submitted a proposal for installation of ACs in courts in the district court complex.ACs were operational in five courts. In a few days, ACs will start operation in all courts in the complex, he said.On the occasion, Mr. Basavaraj launched updated directory, which contained contact numbers of all advocates practising in Mangaluru.3rd Additional District and Sessions Judge Shridhar Gopalakrishna Bhat and Principal District Court Prosecutor Judith O.M.
