Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the State government is committed to ensure hut-free Adivasi gudems and tribal habitations by providing Indiramma houses to all poor people across the State.A special drive will be launched across all the Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDA) to sanction Indiramma houses to poor people in the next 365 days, he said, directing the authorities to appoint a special officer to oversee the exercise.The Chief Minister was addressing a gathering of tribal people after participating in the housewarming ceremony of 26 Indiramma houses at Kothaguda in Kerameri mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district on Monday evening.The event marked formal completion and housewarming ceremony of around 1.2 lakh houses under the first phase of Indiramma Indlu, the flagship housing scheme of the Congress government, in the State.The Chief Minister unveiled a pylon at Kothaguda, inhabited by Kolams, a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), marking the launch of the second phase of the Indiramma housing scheme for construction of 2.5 lakh houses across the State. The tiny habitation of the PVTGs played host to the two major State-wide programmes as part of the Indiramma Indlu housing scheme.Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Anasuya Seethakka, Vivek Venkatswamy and Jupally Krishna Rao accompanied the Chief Minister.Mr. Revanth Reddy had a hearty interaction with the Kolam tribal people during the housewarming ceremony and savored the nutrient-rich Ippapuvvu (Mahua flower) laddus and other traditional tribal snacks on the occasion.
