Cracking down on illegal sand transportation, the police seized two sand-laden bullock carts in the Kollegal Town Police Station limits on Monday.A statement from the Chamarajanagar District Police said the police personnel, acting on credible information received by Kollegal Town Police Station’s Sub-Inspector Varsha B.V., intercepted two bullock carts loaded with sand while they were moving along the Kalihundi road near Anagalli from the villages of Hampapura and Dasanapura.The two sand-laden bullock carts were seized, and legal action was initiated against four accused persons identified as Srinivasa and Mahesh from Anagalli village, and Nagaraju and Basavaraju from Dasanapura village.
