According to the corps members, security concerns were cited as the reason for the sudden redeployment.

The development comes amid heightened security concerns in Kaiama after reports emerged that insurgents holding scores of women and children abducted from Woro community were allegedly plotting fresh attacks in the area.

At least two affected corps members confirmed the development to SaharaReporters on Monday, saying they received relocation letters shortly after the Eid-el-Kabir holiday and were instructed to immediately report to safer local government areas within the state.

According to the corps members, security concerns were cited as the reason for the sudden redeployment.

"We received our reposting letters on Friday and were told to move to another local government immediately," one of the corps members said.
