The wife of a fisherman who went missing after falling into the sea while fishing in the Mangaluru sea, submitted a petition to the Ramanathapuram Collector here on Monday, requesting the government to find her husband’s body.According to the petitioner, Muthukumar, 41, a fisherman belonging to the Seeniapa Dargha Poovan Kudiyiruppu village near Mandapam in Ramanathapuram district, due to insufficient income, went to Mangaluru in Karnataka state five months ago for fishing works.On the May 3, when he went fishing into the sea from Mangaluru, he accidentally fell into the sea and went missing.Regarding this, Muthukumar’s family submitted a petition to the Mandapam Assistant Director of Fisheries. The Mangaluru police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.In this situation, Muthukumar’s wife Muthumari, along with her family, submitted a petition requesting that steps be taken to find the body of her husband who fell into the sea and went missing, and to provide appropriate compensation to the family.
