The fifth edition of the Mysuru Travel Mart (MTM) 2026 will be held from June 5 to 7, bringing together tourism stakeholders, policymakers, hospitality leaders, and buyers from across India and overseas in an effort to strengthen Mysuru’s position as a leading tourism destination.Organised by the Mysuru Travels Association along with the Union Ministry of Tourism, Karnataka Tourism Department, Mysuru Hotel Owners’ Association, Skal International Mysuru, and several other organisations, the three-day event will be held at the Jagannatha Centre for Arts and Culture in Vijayanagar.Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will inaugurate the event at 2.30 p.m. on June 5. Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs H.K. Patil, Mysuru District in-charge Minister H.C. Mahadevappa, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Mysuru-Kodagu MP, Harish Gowda, MLA, and other dignitaries are expected to participate in the inaugural ceremony.A series of panel discussions will be held on June 6, focusing on topics such as media and tourism, development of Mysuru airport, film city in Mysuru, and tourism and sustainable development. Senior journalists, film personalities, and experts in sustainable tourism will take part in the discussions.The same evening, the Skal International Mysuru Tourism and Hospitality Awards Night will be held to recognise excellence in the tourism and hospitality sector. Fifteen awards will be presented to hotels, resorts, tourism professionals, and individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth of tourism in the region, the organisers said.More than 100 stalls will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the three-day event. Exhibitors from Kodagu, Jaipur, Rajasthan, Kerala, Bhubaneswar, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, besides several international tourism destinations, will attend.The event is expected to serve as a major tourism networking platform, and organisers are expecting around 1,000 visitors during the three days, a release said.Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mysuru Travels Association president B.S. Prashanth said the mart aims to strengthen Karnataka’s tourism and project Mysuru as a tourism hub of national and international significance.MTM chairman C.A. Jayakumar, vice-chairman C.
