The original "Highway to Hel" route, operated by PKS Gdynia, was changed to 669 in 2023 following protests from some religious groups. One organisation accused the bus company of "spreading satanism". Route number 666 had previously gained significant attention from tourists due to the play on words with the resort's name.FlixBus will introduce a new 13-hour route linking Kraków with Hel, via Warsaw, which will run daily during the summer season.
