A new report has now revealed an image that claims to show the design and the color of the phone. The new report comes from serial leaker Ice Universe, who has posted an image on Weibo, captioned “iPhone Fold/iPhone Ultra,” but with no other details. “The device is believed to have entered early mass production, but the model shown is likely a dummy,” MacRumors reported.A Tablet-Style Passport Form FactorIf you haven’t heard any reports of what the new phone will look like, it may come as a surprise to see just how wide the object is. That’s because, unlike most folding smartphones, this one seems designed to look like a regular tablet when it’s opened. MORE FOR YOUAs for colors, it’s long been reported that Apple would stick to quiet shades — no Cosmic Orange, then — and the rear of the phone in the image has stuck to that brief: it’s white. Limited Color OptionsThis fits with earlier reports that white would be one of the colors for the iPhone Ultra. It seems the most likely second color will be Space Gray, though it may not be called that. The image is keeping more of its secrets to itself, though. While the two cameras on the rear chime with other reports, the protective film on the front makes it hard to see the thickness of the bezels around the display. And the angle of the shot makes it hard if not impossible to judge the thickness of the phone itself. As always, a pinch of salt is required here, although Ice Universe is a consistent leaker, at least.
