P.K. Anoop, a driver attached to the AKG Centre, who serves as the driver of the Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan, has filed a complaint with the State Police Chief Ravada A. Chandrasekhar, alleging that he was assaulted and mistreated by police personnel at the Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station.According to the complaint, the alleged incident occurred on May 30 after Mr. Anoop dropped the CPI(M) veteran at the railway station. As the driver was looking for a parking spot, he was purportedly prevented by two police officers, identified as Jayan and Sharath, in parking the vehicle.They also allegedly physically assaulted and slapped him, while ordering him to move the vehicle.
