Several Gulf countries have slammed Iran for its targeting of Kuwait late on Sunday, with Kuwait calling the move "a blatant breach of international law".
"Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and defend its territory," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Saudi Arabia has also taken to strongly condemning what it described as "repeated and malicious" attacks, voicing its "categorical rejection" of the strikes.
"The Kingdom also affirms its solidarity with the brotherly state of Kuwait, its government and people, and renews its full support for all measures taken by Kuwait to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability and the well-being of its people," the kingdom's Foreign Ministry added.
Meanwhile, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the secretary-general of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his "strongest condemnation" of Iran for its attack on Kuwait.
