The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Sunday that 2,245 people were displaced from Sudan’s South Kordofan State over the past three days due to worsening security conditions.
In a statement, the organisation said its displacement monitoring teams estimated that 2,245 people had fled from the towns of Kadugli and Dilling, as well as villages around Habila in South Kordofan, between 28th and 30th May.
The displaced people moved to the states of North Kordofan, White Nile and Khartoum, the IOM added.
The organisation said the situation remains “tense and volatile” and that it will continue to monitor developments closely.
According to the IOM’s latest figures, published on 11th February, more than 132,000 people have been displaced from the three Kordofan states — North, West and South Kordofan — since 25th October 2025.
